Orbital forming offers many advantages over other methods of forming, riveting and fastening, yet there are occasional applications where orbital forming may not be the optimal solution. It is for these delicate or lighter duty applications Orbitform has engineered a Spiral Form cartridge into its standard product line.
Spiral Form is for customers with unique or very light duty applications. It is also available as a “standard option” for new machines and systems and designed to retrofit existing Orbitform machines. Additionally, Spiral has been designed to accommodate an integral load cell into its spindle package. This allows Spiral to provide the same Watchdawg capabilities as the rest of the Orbitform product line.

The newest development at Orbitform, Spiral form is a forming process using a "spiralgraph" type motion. Especially beneficial for delicate applications, many Orbitform powerheads can be converted to Spiral form.
Spiral Forming is especially beneficial for delicate applications. Used on a standard bench machine, the unique motion is an alternative to the orbital motion with results that meet specific application needs.
