>> Design and build of first Orbitform powerhead, M-700 (since “retired”)

1984
>> Orbitform product line purchased from TA Systems and moved to Jackson, MI
>> Orbitform becomes a company
>> Scott Repasy joins Mike Powell as the first Orbitform employees
>> Orbitform leases space from Air Hydraulics

1987
>> Mike Shirkey becomes President of Air Hydraulics and Orbitform
>> Orbitform moves to 529 Liberty Street, 4000 sq ft

1988
>> Atwood Automotive, via Mr. Gus Saline, becomes Orbitform’s premier customer

1989
>> First seat of Autocad deployed
>> Birth of Rollerform with design of combination roller head and orbital head

1992
>> Moved to new location at 1015 Belden Road, 30,000 sq ft

1993
>> Integration of first programmable “z” axis into a standard powerhead

1995
>> Moved to new location at 1600 Executive Drive
>> Acquired Adtech, launching Orbitform into impact riveting

1996
>> Orbitform sold to Industrial Holdings, Inc., Houston, Texas

1997
>> First PPED multi-point head designed and built

1998
>> Conversion from 2D to 3D design with SolidWorks

1999
>> Integrated load cells and position sensors into our powerhead designs

2001
>> Orbitform purchased from IHI, taken private
>> Acquired Arbor Automation
>> Introduced “Watchdawg” as a product/service line

2002
>> Acquired Milford Fastening Systems, expanding presence in impact riveting
equipment
 
2003
>> Quick Change Tracks developed for Milford machines

2004
>> Completed installation of Arbor Automation system for transmission manufacturing

2005
>> Acquired Marathon Weld Group, introducing welding into the Orbitform product mix

2006
>> Upgraded Applications Lab to “virtual trade show” level
>> Orbitform’s version of interchangeable orbital/radial forming heads designed

2007
>> Launched comprehensive Web Strategy as key part of overall business plan
>> Expanded service offering of Watchdawg for various welding applications

2008
>> Developed application-specific "Spiralform" product offering - an alternative to orbital cold-forming. 

2009
>> Partnered with VIA Wind Energy for the development and manufacturing of high-yield wind turbines. 

2011
>>Orbitform acquired PitProducts.com a manufacturer and distributor of lightweight aluminum trailer cabinets and trailer storage solutions and GaragePals.com a manufacturer and distributor lightweight aluminum garage cabinets and garage storage solutions.
