I wanted to drop you a short email and let you know we took the advise of you and your personal, and did revisit the design and dimensions of our rivets used in the application we presented to your staff for evaluation.
You can see the deviation in torque in the Data column and the CPK range in the Xbar-CPK column. We will run the remaining 900 rivets tomorrow and if those are good we'll finalize the change in design and place the order for 2 million which should carry us for a few weeks.
I want to thank you and your staff for the dedication and continued support in resolving this issue that has been a long standing problem for us.
Please convey my thanks to the boys in the shop for their help in taking the time to work with us and train us in the proper maintenance of the equipment as well as your management team.
It was truly a pleasure and experience in visiting your facility.
