Challenge

This custom application called for a solid joint to hold rigid plastic parts firmly, but also allow them to freely pivot.

Key to Success

Orbitform application engineers successfully fastened the assembly with an Orbitform B-240 and an eyelet tool using 800 lbs. of force. The finished assembly compressed all the gaps in the material and ensured each joint pivoted properly, to mimic human knee and ankle motions.
